Pending and proposed legislation and policy concerning immigration and border security will have enormous impact on trade and tourism at the Pacific border in coming years. Ms. Stock will provide analysis and guidance to pac~flc corridor businesses whose livelihood depends on cross-border trade and tourism.

Margaret Stock,

Attorney, Anchorage, Alaska, Lieutenant Colonel, Military Police Corps, Professor, Department of Social Sciences, US Military Academy, West Point, NY

Margaret Stock is an Attorney with an office in Anchorage, Alaska. She also teaches part time as an Associate Professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, where she has taught National Security Law, Constitutional Law, Military Law, and International Relations for over five years. Stock is a Lt. Colonel in the Military Police Corps, United States Army Reserve. As an attorney and graduate of Harvard Law School, Stock practiced in the area of immigration and citizenship law for more than 10 years. She has written and spoken extensively on the issues of immigration and national security, and has testified on these topics before Congress.

Guest Lecture

The Border Policy Research Institute will present a guest lecture by Ms. Stock at 3:00pm on the same day at Western Washington University. Ms. Stock’s session will be entitled, The Role of Immigration Policy in the Pursuit of National Security.
